WONDERSHOWZEN

The Wondershowzen is the most popular smoothie Austin's Juice & Smoothie Bar, Juiceland, has to offer. It is delicious, peanut-buttery, thick green goodness that satiates all smoothie desires & is fabulous as a bowl. I wanted to create a fun step-by-step design so any rando with a blender could recreate this delicious smoothie bowl at home.

Smoothie bowls are bright, fun, and colorful snacks. I knew that my infographic design needed to give off a retro groovy smoothie feel.

When sketching my smoothie bowl I contemplated how I wanted to show the ingredients. I knew I wanted a view looking down at a finished smoothie bowl with all of its toppings so that became a focal point.

ORIGINAL DESIGN & ROUGHS

Here are several stages of my original infographic poster for a WONDERSHOWZEN bowl. I designed the steps to encircle the bowl in a blending motion. I also used "Juicy Lingo" within my steps so I provided a key for non-smoothie-speaking folks.

The number one goal of this design was something fun and informative.

FINAL SOLUTION

In my final design of the WONDERSHOWZEN infographic, I peeled back some layers (pun intended) and created a cleaner design. I wanted it to be easier for the health nuts to interpret my smoothie bowl recipe. This resulted in a funky, fresh infographic design.

I also wanted to create a version for print in a magazine and took my design to photoshop.

Additionally I created smoothie bowl stickers, because who doesn't love a good ol sticker?

REFLECTION

I am very happy with how this project turned out. It is funky, fresh, and downright delicious. But really, these are some of my favorite illustrations.
